Larry and LADesign came to my rescue!! I have used this company for a lot of work on my house and their work, attitude and responsiveness was excellent! I tried to use someone else for my kitchen-never should have! And that contractor walked off with my money and inferior workmanship. Larry stepped in and helped to correct and complete my kitchen! I highly recommend him/his company for any work in your house and will be glad to provide references anytime!

Kevin, Rudy and the various crews from LA Design did a fine job renovating my unfinished basement. Once we established the scope of work and my expectations of the completed job, LA Design went to work. I couldn't be happier. I would recommend them highly.

We cannot express our appreciation enough for the phenomenal work that Larry and his crew have done. After my husband's recent surgery, he was recuperating in Chicago. We were worried that we could not return to our NJ home since we needed a handicap accessible bedroom and bathroom. We were concerned that we did not have enough space in our cape-style house for an accessible bathroom with shower. We were also worried when friends warned us about supply and labor shortages and tales of contractors not completing jobs. LA Design was the complete opposite of this....Larry communicated daily with us every step of the way and afterwards to see if additional work was needed. He completed this project in less than 3 weeks. When we arrived home, we were overjoyed when we saw a beautiful master bedroom suite with accessible bathroom and walk-in closet. LA Design is a company of Craftmanship and Excellence!

I did a major renovation of my bathroom, which involved pulling out a tub, replacing it with a walk-in shower, new fixtures, and tile. The result was amazing. The director Ryan worked with me to create a budget within my range. He was very low-pressure and easy to work with. Lindsey, the design consultant provided suggestions throughout, and was able to get trade pricing on many items. The site manager Julian was super friendly and always answered my questions in a timely manner. The entire team was professional and all the work was professional and the result was amazing. I would highly recommend LA Design to others considering a major project.

"I have the good fortune to have found LA Design"
"As a property manager for a large condominium community in NJ, I have the good fortune to have found LA Design as our primary contractor for all projects within my community.
LA started out with small patch and repair work, and has now elevated to completing renovations to 3 of our buildings' courtyards, new roofs on 8 buildings, restorations to fire damaged units, repairing siding and just about anything you would need several contractors to perform. They have detected leaks behind walls with infrared devices that eliminated the need to rip walls apart. This has saved us tens of thousands of dollars. LA has and does it all. They do it with impeccable quality and the highest level of integrity.
LA Design starts by planning properly. They communicate their plans effectively and well in advance. They tackle field conditions and challenges without missing a beat. Their prices are reasonable and well worth the assurance that you'll not only receive quality work and products, but they'll back up their work with an outstanding warranty.
When you contract with LA Design, you're literally working with family! Larry Sr., Larry and Andrew, and the rest of the LA Design family have literally become a household name in my community. You would do well to make them a part of your family, and consider them for any project large or small."

It has been a great experience dealing with LA Design after dealing with other construction companies.
They’ve been doing great Re-construction/ Remedying work at The Grande due to a building fire that destroyed many units.
This is the best construction company around, The owner himself, Larry Sr. and son Andrew make themselves available every day. They don’t just send workers over, they come in themselves on a daily basis to the jobsite.
Larry Sr. and Andrew are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, easy to deal with, straightforward, trustworthy and very knowledgeable.
I also interacted with their office staff on the phone, they were very polite, courteous and provided great customer service.

"My husband and I used LA Design to finish half our basement in 2020, and after completing other sundry renovations with other contractors over the years, I can unequivocally say that our experience with LA Design was, by far, the most superior.
The beginning of our experience found us speaking to Larry, and I appreciated that he provided a comprehensive plan after our initial conversation, including a diagram and a cost estimate breakdown. Having the visuals helped us figure out what worked best for finances and family needs, and what is more, the estimate was accurate and did not exceed the quoted price which has not been our experience with other projects and other contractors.
Throughout the process we appreciated how Larry would keep us updated on the progress and the projected timeline. The project was finished roughly on time, and we appreciated the professionalism of the workers, their attention to detail in their work, and how they cleaned up each day. Larry, our project manager, was easily accessible and often came to supervise the work and check in on the project.
Finally, the finished product was excellent. I love the details--there were three small ideas pitched (a barn door, cubbies for beneath the stairs, and an area that boxed out some sundry electric necessities) that lent a comfortable and friendly feel to our space. Going forward we anticipate calling LA Design again for any of our construction needs."

"We are very happy with the way everything turned out"
"We had a big issue with our house that needed repair. I reached out to seven different contractors and received multiple quotes. Some were too high, others didn't address the problem, and just as important some had a poor personality. We signed with Larry Sr taking on our project, he and his team were very punctual, the workers were very professional and do great work. We are very happy with the way everything turned out and I would definitely do business with them again."

We cannot say enough good things about Larry and LA Design. We've had such a positive experience with remodeling our home. Larry is a true professional and such a nice person. He is honest and reliable. When he says something he means it! He was very patient with us when we made changes along the way and was always open to our ideas. His crew was respectful and always cleaned up after themselves. They worked from morning to night. Lindsay was so helpful with getting supplies, which was a challenge during the pandemic, but with perseverance she always got it done. We recommend LA Design to everyone! We can't wait for our next construction adventure!

"LA is not your usual run-of-the-mill contractors. These are people with serious knowledge and deep expertise."
I have been a client of LA for the past three years, and worked with them on two large and a few small projects. Their knowledge of construction, quality of work and customer focus are extraordinary. Here are some details:
Knowledge: LA is not your usual run-of-the-mill contractors. These are people with serious knowledge and deep expertise. The president of the organization constructed his first home as a teenager. They knew right stores, material and people for different aspects of construction, and worked with us to help us make right and timely decisions. They understand old homes as well as newer trends in construction, and can bridge the gap. Because of this, they were able to make an accurate early assessment for the gut renovation project of our 100 year old home. Building real-world things is not like constructing and destroying virtual worlds using legos or Roblox - it require hard skill, patience and precision. I have presented them with difficult problems during our renovations, and they found creative solutions for all of them.
Quality: There's a common belief that we can only get two of good / fast / cheap in a project. I think what we get from LA is outstanding / fast / commensurate. They may not be the cheapest, but we need cheap work for transient things - those that we use and throw away in a day or a week. We are talking about home where we spend our days and nights for years. Now onto some concrete examples: The floor in our kitchen which we fully remodeled had a slope and a height gap compared to the adjacent dining area. We were okay with it and wanted to compensate for this gap by placing the island over it. LA would have nothing of that. They ripped out the floor a second time, leveled it and redid it perfectly, all at their own expense, even after we said we were okay with it. A second example: we had a large outdoor patio floor which had subtle cracks, leaking rain water into the basement. LA did multipe water tests and identified the source of the leaks, totally ripped out the floor and redid it meticulously. The leaks that could not be fixed by our previous owners for many years were gone within two weeks.
Customer-centric: Construction projects are stressful to the owners and contractors. In the case of LA, they make it painless and here's how they do it: because of their knowledge of the field, they first of all make good estimation. Because of the quality of their work, very little went against plan. And to top it all, they truly connect with their customers. One example: we had signed off on the layout for the shower area in our remodeled bathroom. However, after tiles were laid out, we realized that it was too narrow to use. We raised it to LA and they worked their magic and expanded the already completed floor area & wall, and moved the saddle out without making it look like patchwork. Special mention: our best friend has been Lindsay who embodies LA's culture of expertise, meticulousness and customer-obsession. Lindsay wore her designer hat and suggested right fixtures, paints, tiles, etc. that will flow with the style of the home. The value these recommendations brought to the project cannot be overstated.
One final word - I had some thought-provoking conversations with the president of LA on his views on the company. He is a leader who takes care of his employees as much as he thinks about his customers. It's a pleasure to meet and work with such smart and forward-looking leaders.

"The house they built for us is truly beautiful and we couldn't say enough about it."
We had a fire on Thanksgiving that destroyed our family home. Our insurance company left it up to us to take care of boarding up the house, which was an impossible task on a long holiday weekend. However, on Black Friday when everyone else was enjoying the holidays LA Design showed up. Within an hour they had the house boarded up and told us, "Don't worry about a thing, we will handle everything." Those words would turn out to be their mantra the entire process of the rebuild.
Their knowledge of the insurance process made it possible to secure every penny available to us by our insurance company without issue. Even when we ran into trouble with our bank issuing funds, they did not stop work like other companies would have for non-payment. LA Design kept working and knew exactly how to handle the situation. They just went above and beyond for everything.
The work that they do is outstanding. They are true craftsmen and employ some of the best workers around. The house they built for us is truly beautiful and we couldn't say enough about it.
During the construction we rented a house nearby, allowing us to stop in at any time to check on the progress and nearly every time Larry Jr. or Larry Sr. were on site. In the rare chance they were not there, if we called with questions they would make it a priority to stop by.
Larry Jr. and Larry Sr. didn't see this as constructing just a house for us, but building our home. They understood the pain we were going through and actually listened to everything we had to say. They were humble, caring and had a great sense of humor, making the entire process a lot easier than it could have been. You hear horror stories about contractors, and this was quite the opposite. We can't thank them enough

Over the course of the project, my wife and I got to sit down with Larry Sr. to discuss what we wanted for our new addition and we felt we really built a relationship with him. "I would just like to say I have never experienced a business operation like la design. I mostly dealt with Andrew and Lindsay and they exceeded my expectations. I have renovated twice in Hoboken and it was a nightmare I swore I would never do it again, I was forced to because of a chimney fire this time and they made everything so simple it was ridiculous. Not knowing the business I really didn't know what to expect or look for but they were here every step of the way with a cool demeanor advice and kept me centered. Andrew has been here at the drop of a hat when I call him never a problem. I have to say I genuinely love them."

"I’ll start off with Larry Sr: Freaking Awesome!!! Honest, kind and caring!! Larry treats your home like it’s his own. From start to finish I’m thoroughly grateful for hiring LA Construction. The reviews I read helped but ultimately it was Larry Sr who helped make our decision on whom to hire that much easier. Larry checks in daily on his employees. He kept us up to date each day with what’s currently happening and what will occur tomorrow.
Each employee is fantastic at what they do. Each guy has a specialty. From tile work, Sheetrock, exterior stone, framing, painting and more, an all around AMAZING job by everyone.
Of course, with Larry’s leadership, everything went smoothly. IF we had any items to discuss or wanted it changed, Larry took care of it. He went above and beyond what the agreement stated. If an item wasn’t done to HIS specs, he would have whatever it was redone. Again, Larry treated our home like it was his own. The best part of this entire project is that we now have a friend. Not only does Larry have amazing customer service skills, everyone on the team was amazing. Courteous and professional!!
If anyone needs to hire a fantastic contractor, don’t look elsewhere. They were the midrange price on the bids we received and not our lowest bidder. We don’t hire cheap, we hire the best. Just hire LA Construction and Design. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!"

"I cannot say enough good things about LA Construction. Larry Jr., Larry Sr. and Julia treat you just like family. When we had a deadline they worked like an army to complete it. They have an outstanding eye for detail. If we needed something changed or touches the something up- not a problem! If we had an emergency- no problem.
On top of that, the pricing blew their competition out of the water. Most memorable are small things-things they didn't have to do, but they did anyway that we appreciate the most. Call them. You won't be sorry!"

They provide high quality at prices that help create value, as the owner Larry knows that his clients are looking for ROI from his projects as well as the product itself.
The team at LADC exhibits extreme professionalism -- our project took a full week to complete and each night we came home from work, our apartment was left very clean, so that we did not feel as though we were living in a construction zone.
We would definitely recommend LA Design and Construction to others and look forward to our next project with them."

"We used LA Design to build us a walk-in closet in our master bedroom. Not only did it come out fantastic but working with them could not have been a more positive experience. Everything that they told us they followed through on. My husband called them several times throughout the project day and evening and they always were either available or called us back right away. They were professional showing up on time every day and the work they did was really outstanding. The closet came out great and it looks as though it was always a part of the room.
If you are looking for a construction company you can rely on that does great work call LA Design you will not be disappointed. We can't wait to use them again for more projects."
